Sword sharpening

I do not lift
my pen alone
but wait in silent prayer
for His prompting
acknowledging the power
words have to break, to build
to begin a war
or declare victory

All I write
a pale shadow
of His heart

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword,
it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow;
it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
