raise the roof

Heavens, raise the roof! Earth, wake the dead!
    Mountains, send up cheers!
God has comforted his people.
He has tenderly nursed his beaten-up, beaten-down people.

Yes, yes ... so tender and gentle, yet powerfully mighty is the One who loves us most of all.

Thank you for this offering today, my friend ...

I like the part of the verse that says He has "tenderly nursed". When the ups and downs of life have whipped and scarred us, our God tenderly restores us.

Beautiful photograph!

I love the image of the windy road along with the part of the verse, "He has tenderly nursed his beaten-up, beaten-down people."

I can just envision someone trudging along the long road with a pack that feels to weigh just a bit too much for him/her, and God is working little by little to lesson the load.

Thank you for your words and photo today!
